-is a self-contained suite with private entry.
The Perch is a peaceful, light-filled space overlooking the lush beauty of a small fruit and vegetable farm. The suite offers many touches to create a tranquil space perfect for daydreaming and watching the light change. The layout includes: One room with a small bright kitchenette, simple sitting area and dining area, as well as an outside patio, a serene bedroom and a modern bathroom.
Unplug, or stay connected via dedicated guest wi-fi.
We provide local hand-made soaps, shampoo and conditioner, and we ask that only eco-friendly products are used in the suite, as we are a regenerative farm, growing with organic principals. The Perch is appointed with fine linens and inviting décor, and local soaps and art, selected for maximum comfort. Guests will enjoy a continental-style farm-fresh and seasonal selection of treats for breakfast and snacks. We are able to cater to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
The Farm
Guests are welcome to walk the farm along designated, marked paths – we have many trails that criss-cross around the gardens and orchards and through the forest.
We are a working farm with busy farm hands, purposed crops, precise irrigation systems, farm equipment and private spaces. Unless on a guided farm tour, please leave the growing and processing areas and harvesting to us.
Guests have their own private patio for enjoying the sunshine and view of the farm.
Pender Island
Pender Island offers something for everyone – The Perch is a great home base for your explorations of the islands – disc golf, kayaking, fine and casual dining, hiking, unique roadside stands and book nooks, shore-based whale-watching, golf, the Farmers’ Market, beaches, winery, cidery, national and local parks, concerts and more. Or…just nothing!
Other things to note:
Raven Rock Farm is home to a multitude of life – our family, friends, a dog and cat, birds, bees, insects (both beneficial and ones we consider pests), spiders, native frogs, snakes, flowers, grasses, leaves and pollen. The ground can be muddy when it rains and dusty when it is dry. The farm’s abundance is apparent in all seasons, through Spring, Summer and Fall - from the first plum blossoms, to the lush green grass and gardens, to the bountiful harvests.
Our greenhouse uses LED lights in the Spring for optimum growing. These lights automatically run from 7am-9pm.
If you are interested in a guided farm tour, please contact us when you arrive to organize a time. If time allows, we are happy to show you around the farm and discuss a wide variety of topics, including farm history, annual vegetable production, soil health, perennial herbs and flowers and so much more.Â
